what brand was the 26T. I was about to order one for my panhead from WWcycles. Got a 25T on atm but still chasing that dream highway revs. Keep up the content mate! always enjoy watching your vids.

I’m not sure of the brand, just got it from the local shop. Yeah a 26 tooth will get you better revs for sure. When I need a new chain I might go to that, we’ll see! I’m the meantime the 25 is wayyy better than the 24. Check out PBI sprockets for a 26…they make solid stuff. Unless you’re from across the pond, then WW is the way to go

Go belt drive on your final drive as well.Belt drives last 100,000 miles.Much less work and money in the long term.

Yeah I get that, I like the look of a chain 1000x times more than a belt. Plus my brake set up doesn't work with a belt

Could you run your bike without the cover and have the belt/clutch exposed ? Like an open belt set up but cheaper
@drmikemerkt

Yes I definitely could. When I adjust my clutch after doing this type of job I’ll ride it without the outer cover on to make sure the clutch release is set up correctly

Since the point was to alleviate some of the 60 mph rpm it would have been nice to see how that worked out. You know, at 70 mph or so.

Totally get it, the traffic on the main roads is pretty hectic and since my wife is driving and filming didn’t wanna do that with the amount of already terrible drivers in the area

@@drmikemerkt Brother, I have heavy duty trucks I own. If you think people can't drive hop on a motorcycle. A motorcycle, I feel, is the best trainer course for defensive driving. In a car or truck you have a sense of cage security. On a bike it's you hunting hogs with a sharp stick. No room for others errors. Much less my own. I enjoy riding because if the roller coaster of emotion. The right road is therapy. Traffic helps you understand the stupidity of the human condition.

Thats not a countershaft sprocket.....that's the mainshaft sprocket. The countershaft is the other shaft with the gears on it inside the transmission. and why didn't you change the seal behind the sprocket when you had it off? C'mon man.
