I feel the same, they may be minor blemishes but they are there and once you have seen them they would drive you to distraction. This is a shame on what otherwise is an excellent example.

I wish i lived in the USA, the shipping costs to the UK would kill the deal. My local body shop has a guy that can remove dents from anything, it is just a shame that they used thin metal in the side mouldings that dents so easily. The rest of the car is so good that it would be a shame to not have the minor blemishes seen to. Someone is going to have a great car to cherish.@@seand2711

Sweet! I had a '77 Ford LTD Landau with those same power vent windows. That car like this was awesome. It was 9 years old when I bought it. That car loved to burn gas... fortunately gas was only .86 cents a gallon at that time. Oh well that was oh so long ago! thanks for posting Bill!!

Only 5,159 Diamond Jubilee editions of the 1978 Mark V were made. 2602 were in the special Diamond Jubilee Blue leaving 2557 in the unique gold. There’s a real diamond chip in the opera window dotting the I in the diamond Jubilee script. What a nice example.

lol oh but I do. Still a time capsule. If you take a razor blade and just rub it back and forth with the blade horizontally not in a way that you would cut it just rub gently back and forth like a paint brush I guess. I don’t know if I said that for you to understand but you could lessen the stain

Glad to see the specific hood accent stripe. I always wonder why they use the cheaper looking cloth fabric instead the thick velour trim that where used in other mark series, velour was an about 1,500 dollar option with the designer series rare but velour was premium over leather.

Absolutely stunning! Hopefully someone will be driving the most beautiful car on the road. Even though I love almost everything about it, I just can't get passed the cloth seats. I know it's a preference but I would pay anything for leather or vinyl. They always look much nicer (because they are). That said, both the blue and the gold Diamond Jubilee colors are gorgeous, and I would take either one.

Hello!!! Oldsmobile is one of my favorites, as that what my dad would usually drive. And muscle cars.... I love them too!! However, I tend to buy cars that most people can afford. Many of my cars sell for mid teens to upper 20's. However I have had a few six figure cars. Muscle cars are just so expensive. Thanks!!

I am a perfectionist and those minor blemishes whilst expected on cars of this age would have to be seen to. The scratches in the wood are an easy fix, removing the ding in the trim would not be easy, why did they use trim that dents far to easily on an expensive car ?@@christianbugatticg
@christianbugatticg
@christianbugatticg 10 ай бұрын
Hey that is a good question. But if you whack any metal hard enough it will ding. @@Barbarapape
@Barbarapape
@Barbarapape 10 ай бұрын
Very true, but the metal used in the 70's for car trim was very thin and dents easily. Unless you can find a new old stock replacement which may not match the original trim most times all you can do is try to improve the dent. The final result depends on the ease of access and the skill of the person doing the work.@@christianbugatticg

how hard would it be to get that clock fixed
@christianbugatticg
@christianbugatticg 10 ай бұрын
Probably not terribly inexpensive, but I have a general rule...... two actually. IF it is going to take more than a couple weeks to get something back (unless it' crucial to the car's safety or operation) I leave it. And secondly, I an not about to tear a dash apart and risk breaking something, as that would be my luck!! lol

@@flunder50 survivorship bias on an extremely low mileage, clearly preserved model. Most of these Malaise Era junk-mobiles fell apart and hit the junkyard ages ago. Where they belonged.
