This could make a good driver for someone. Thanks for getting it road worthy and saving it and bringing us along. I really like the budget builds and how you tell the whole story. I also think you stopped at the right time. Hopefully its sells. I think it will go faster at 5500 with the title but thats just one opinion. . Looking forward to the Camaro build.

Hey, good job on the build with what you have. True statement, you can't put too much money into it, you'll never get all of it back. Although some may say you can't polish up a turd, this one is good enough for a new 16 year old driver. Keep them videos coming.

The jambs could be painted with a rattle can by the new owner,give them something to do. If a guy wanted he could make some interior trims from wood/ply board and wrap it in carpet,again something the new owner could do.

@jamespn10 күн бұрын
$2,500 total invested, not bad for the 78 Nova, it’ll be interesting to see what is sells for, $5K with a new battery, inexpensive for someone getting their first hot rod. A lot of labor went into this one.

Yea with the cheapest Chinese parts he could buy, the cheapest paint and hack rust repair. Por 15 is not a fix for rust. It buys you a little more time at best but it’s going to rust down the road. He admits he paid too much at a 1000 dollars with no title. But when it’s time to try and stick someone with it the title isn’t a problem. lol. You notice all the cars and trucks he has for sale are still sitting there? It’s a good thing he doesn’t care if he sells them. Chances are he won’t sell many. The occasion idjit will buy something if he’s lucky

Lee, I could be wrong but I think that carburetor has vacuum operated secondaries. These won’t open when you rev it in neutral but will open when under load. If this is the case that carb might be good to go as is.

In Minnesota if you buy a car without a title Its basically a parts car. $5,000 for a car with no title. It's $1,000 car with the title. Good luck
@clunkersandclassics10 күн бұрын
Wrong on both counts. Minnesota has bonded titles: No proof of ownership vehicle title application When proof of ownership cannot be established a person may still apply for a Certificate of Title from Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS). There may be options of obtaining a certificate of title if you acquire a vehicle through the following situations: No certificate of title for the vehicle. You do not have the most current certificate of title. You are unable to obtain the lien release. You are unable to obtain one or more required signatures on the title. If the vehicle is more than five years old, you may be able to apply for a bonded certificate of title. DVS will review your application and you may need to obtain a surety bond from an insurance company. Once DVS determines the value of the vehicle you will need to purchase a surety bond that is one and a half times the value of the vehicle. The bond will be held by DVS for three years and the certificate of title will be branded with the term “BONDED.” If there are no ownership claims made against the vehicle’s title for three years, the bond may be returned to you and new certificate of title may be issued without the title brand. DVS will determine which documents are necessary based the presence of a vehicle record in the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System. To verify there is no record, you may visit your local deputy registrar office or contact DVS.
@clunkersandclassics10 күн бұрын
Minnesota also has court ordered titles: Alternative solution If the vehicle is not more than five years old or you are unable to obtain a bonded title for any other reason, you may need to obtain a court order directing the Department of Public Safety to issue a certificate of title. Note: Park model trailers must obtain a court order and do not qualify for a bonded title.
Yeah that's not true at all. In Minnesota you can get a new title with a bill of sale and a clear stolen car report. You just have to complete a Minnesota Application for Duplicate Title (Form PS2067A).
@qubesquared62098 күн бұрын
I agree. $5000, I have the headaches to chase down a title, and it’s not worth a quarter of the asking price? I see why this guy has so many clunkers on the property. He’s a delusional junk car salesman. But a fool is born every minute, and he’s definitely fishing for one. Lol.
@TheREALOC197210 күн бұрын
5k is just about the right price honestly, getting a new title isn't that big of a deal anymore, especially from "Dealership", which in most states your considered a "dealership" you just don't sell enough cars in a year to have to get a Dealers License. That's a good project car that you can drive as a daily driver while your working on it.
@DPaint-v5j10 күн бұрын
Transmissions and seats come out of your stock. So not free. Door jams let it down. Simple car to fix. Not exactly economical daily drivers. Maybe you could make a interior panels out of Ali. Just another flip rotting away in the yard.😂 If it was 3.500 it might sell. Probably should have Rino coated the body, Looks the same as that mat black.. if you got ten years driving out of it. Might be worth 5,000. Thanks for video.

you'll have to get it mechanically sound, decent interior and paint it to be worth $5k. For 800 you'll get a rusty piece of crap with ripped up seats and carpet and smoking out the exhaust with a slipping transmission. Your choice.

The problem is, these younger people want a bad a $ $ muscle car for 10k. That's not happening these days! Primer, sealer, Paint and clear can be be $1500 . That's not including sand paper, tape, sanders, buffers, buffing compound, polishing wheels, labor or metal fabrication/ patching. When I see people low balling, I just ignore them. Anyone that knows cars understands the pricing. ...as long as you're realistic.... which you are !
