I bought a 1978 V8 Nova for $1000. It's been abandoned for 25 years. So far I have it running good and driving but now it needs an exhaust system. In this video I install new headers, pipes and 1 chamber race mufflers.

I had a 75 Nova that I built that the tail lights was messed up in I put 69 Camaro tail lights in it it looks really good

I’m loving this Nova. Why not paint Satan black roof and gloss black body? I like the idea of getting rid of all the trim. If you can’t replace it, get rid of it! Turning clunkers into classics. This would make a nice custom hot rod. Maybe a flame paint job?

It probably wouldn’t be a huge amount of labor, if you could cut the expensive tail panel out and take one from a regular Nova and tack that in. The body is very nice on your Nova and the prices for novas around here in NC are up on those body style! Around $8,000 to $10,000 and wouldn’t be nearly as nice as a car after you finish it off. “ Shine Like A Diamond In A Goats Butt”!😮😅😊

Lee the best thing about those 86-95 TBI engines they have hydraulic roller cams so if you put another distributor in it you better make sure you buy a distributor with a melanized gear because those carbon steel gear will get chewed up by the steel cam...

I believe they are flat tappet cams and lifters on those year tbi. The 96-99 have roller cam and lifters.

You could use that peel and stick chrome trim to do the top that would look good and sticks on really tough

Those P275/60R15 should fit without rubbing atvall on that 78 Nova. My brother's has a 75 SS Nova and we put P275/60R15 with Centerline Wheels on his and you can stick your hand between the tire and the fender ..

Lee your laptop may be overheating because the heat sink fan assembly are clogged,most pet owners laptops i worked on had this problem. some are not that hard to get to. might look up a disassembly video .also new thermal paste on cpu if you take it apart.nova is goin good

Could you use fibreglass to fix the broken plastic body parts? Any chance you could make your own trim for the roof? Or better yet, leave it off, fill the holes and make it a custom hot rod? It’s a beautiful car. Shame you can’t find the parts.

Ethanol gas is notorious for sticking valves after you let it sit up for about a year and it gets so sticky like glue, I will never run anything other than non-ethanol gas again after bending two valves and breaking pushrods...
