Not much doubt that the Ducati would have been the best sounding and handling bike out there that day.

The track they are on, if I'm not mistaken, is Bathurst Nsw Australia, off the top of my head ,the coppers band bike racing on the Mountain about 1982 ? The coppers and the motorcycling public just didn't get along 😂

Amaroo park not Bathurst.😂

What was the smoke in the beginning? Was that tire spinning or oil burning

900 Ducati could actually corner OK while the GS and XS and CBX were whales but destroy the Italian in the straights...
@paulscountry45617 күн бұрын
Those bikes look mostly stock and they aint trackbikes they are heavy slow steering poor braking streetbikes.
@simonsays144717 күн бұрын
Totally standard and they were state of the art in 1978.....

The auld gs1000..for as big and heavy as it was.....is surprisingly nimble and quick for it's time.
@paulscountry45615 күн бұрын
The GS 1000 was far better than any KZ 900 or 1000 it was much faster and handled better for sure.

Suzuki Gs1000, was referred to as bike riders champaign. The first jap bike to handle well with brakes that worked well. Then they released the Mighty GSX 1100. The ultimate sports touring bike of the day.
