I did not see Sterling Marlin in this race, he may of DNQ'd. Oh well. What a drive from you! From pit road mishap to a P2 finish. I'm going to be away for a couple weeks, have a merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Yes unfortunately Sterling had a accident in qualifying so he missed the race. It was the same car we won with earlier this season so I figured it would be strong but it exceeded my expectations! Have a wonderful Christmas and new years!

Me as a commentator: Coming off turn 4, there is Benny Parsons, he does it at Nashville! Irvine is 2nd, Terry Labonte finishes in 3rd! Hunter Irvine's crew chief: All things considered, 2nd is a strong finish! Hunter Irvine: It was a great race besides the pit road incident. Hunter Irvine's crew chief: Yeah.

Benny Parsons has been extremely consistent this year and I believe that he’ll be fighting for a second championship this year.

@@hunter2706 that win was Benny Parson's first win since Riverside in 1978, breaking a 32 race winless streak and his 13th career Cup Series win overall. Other than Benny Parsons, Bobby Allison, Cale Yarborough who is going for four straight championships and Richard Petty have also been crazy consistent and are in championship back. Millikan on back have a slim chance, they need to be consistent and win races. Speaking of legends like Parsons, Allison, Yarborough and Petty. Sadly, Fred Lorenzen passed away.

I did see that Fred passed away. It’s quite sad knowing the history he had with the sport. I think this will be a great championship fight!
