My father owned a Coupe de Ville til I was in my twenty's. Every year a new one he strayed once to a El Dorado. We drove his last Coupe from Ohio to Las Vegas, such a nice ride. I'll always have fond memories of those cars and times. They don't build 'em like they used to.

Brings back memories. We had a '78 Fleetwood Brougham, dark metallic green, narrow whitewalls, wire wheels, also with the 425 ci engine. Smooth as silk, and a very special car. Surprisingly small turning radius, and very easy to maneuver in spite of the size. I'd be surprised if somebody at Vanguard didn't buy this car for himself.

This car brings back memories for me. Senior year in high school I owned a ‘79 coupe de ville. It was my first car that I bought from a relative. Cerulean Blue Firemist with matching top and interior with the wired wheels. By the way there is a power trunk release in the glove box.

I was 19 when those were new and working on a military base , naval officers drove cars like that we would service them and road test them ! Excellent job for a teenager Cadillac was King !

Interior color is cedar. The elk grain vinyl roof as Cadillac called it is cedar firemist.

Antique Saddle is the name of the interior. I have an 80 Coupe with the same interior. The top, I can't recall off the top of my mind..probably same as the interior.

There was an issue with suspect steel coming in from Japan in 79. Rust issues developed on 79 autos because of it. Beautiful car, I had a 79 Coupe Deville.

I find it hard to believe that this isn't a full concours level restoration. In 1975, GM build quality on Cadillacs had gone down, and the paint jobs, while pretty good, were not at this level.
