I just bought an old VC myself. ‘77, I think. Plugged it in for 2 minutes and the vibrato quit working. 🤷‍♂️

Depends on the noise level in your bedroom. But I'm only an amp tech, so... (Seriously, yes, a Champ is pretty much ideal for home practice - great Fender cleans at about the same volume as a good acoustic guitar).

I've never particularly liked the Vibrochamp tremolo; would have liked to see it being tweaked to sound a little better....

Just not at all a fan of blackface or silverface champs. I sold my '66 and don't miss it one bit.
