1979 Good Times Dodge Van Junkyard Find. I specifically wanted to check this old Dodge van for the cool Good Times Emblems. I got to add them to my little collection for only $5. Winning! Other than that, not much else to say about this one. Check it out for yourselves.

Whoa Nelley, it's a van man. It's alright, just dynamite. Yes, "Good Times" was located in Arlington, TX for a time and was a popular conversion van company back in the day. We got the VIN, we win, here we go: B for B Series Van, 2 for 3/4 ton rating, 1 for Tradesman style compact van, J for 6,001 to 8,500 # GVWR, F for 360 V8 with two barrel, 9 for 1979 model year, X for Missouri Truck assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The paper on the window has an error. It has it as a one ton van, it is a 3/4 ton van. Yup, KPLX-FM 99.5, aka "The Wolf" appears to still be around: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KPLX Possible Yellow Flame or Linen Cream exterior paint. B2-127 should stand for B200 (3/4 ton) 127" wheel base. Let the Good Times roll, let the music groove in your soul. It was fine in '79, but it's outta time. It's going to be an LG, and that's a shame to me. It's gonna get squished and some people will be pissed.

Here we go again, another van. I enjoy seeing the vans you find as other cars. That right taillight looks like which I'm willing to bet that is from a Ford Van.

That column is probably a good flipper. At some point they changed the front of those and moved the engine out further for more interior space, so the interchange might be limited to the short nose vans.

Never seen a Good Times van, is it a special factory trim or it is an aftermarket kinda deal? If so, do the Chevy & Ford vans have something like that? Cuz the emblems seem pretty darn rare. You should've taken the Panasonic speaker Benny, old Panasonic sound equipment are good stuff!

Some of the "early beginnings" of...automotive ugliness; The "Good Times" van and that other abysmal ghetto-on-wheeks, the "Vantastic"! So then, it only gets *worse* in 1984 with the debut of the even uglier "Dodge Minivan"! Back in the day, many thought the "Edsel" was ugly. Nothing can touch the "Van/Minivan"(& now, the even uglier SUVs & Crossovers)for ugliness.
