own this model back in late eightys and also gs 850 they both had issues of leaking oil between head and barrels and tank aslap once reached 180kms a hour...but overall pretty bullet proof engines

I owned the 1000 and it handled like a dream even at 180 kms a hour, my favourite bike along with the 2014 z1000 I currently own.
