Great footage. My favourite was the series at Turnberry in ‘87 or ‘88 that he did with Sandy Lyle. I still have a few episodes on VCR. I remember him doing a little segment with Peter Alliss talking about his wedges and the different bounces for different conditions. Also remember him hitting a ‘punched 3 wood’ into the wind onto the green. Amazing

I'm old enough to have seen this when first broadcast,I loved watching Lee play but hated the amateurs who took up time that would have been better spent watching more Trevino magic! Despite the fact that Lee destroyed 'our' Open Champion (Jacklin) he was loved and appreciated by British fans,Trevino tales are still told in York where he used to play the B&H Championship at Fulford. Many thanks for posting, btw,I have one of those John Letters staff bags standing in a corner of my bedroom!

Maybe it’s the camera angle but the tee shot at 1:23 he looks like he sets up with the ball at the toe of his driver. Interesting

Yep, I followed Trevino at The Open and Benson and Hedges at Fulford, he addressed every driver way off the toe.

@@VG32123 A technique advocated by George Knudson, who was rated by Trevino (and Hogan) as among the VERY best.

Trevino hit the ball so pure. He didn't like those slow greens though
