Jack Lee is THE GREATEST ANNOUNCER OF ALL TIME IN ANY SPORT OR VENUE anywhere in the world. He NEVER missed a call.

I met Stan Bergstein when I was nine at Yonkers. He could tell I was raised to be a horseplayer and we chatted for a while. Very nice guy.

Roosevelt Raceway, where it all began, where it still should be today! Criminal land deal destroyed our racing history and people’s lives as well.

Freehold Raceway is where I first heard Jack E Lee call races. His voice is etched into my memory bank.

Nice memories. I remember chatting with Stan on the set at Yonkers when he did the show with Dave Johnson. I had a long conversation with Jack not far from RR one night. Just the two of us. Must have been a good hour or more. Good times.

Back in the day, Lee used to, as well as call the races, do the ring announcing when wrestling would come to the Nassau Coliseum. Catching him leaving the ring one night, I had the chutzpah to ask, "Hey Jack,! What's more fixed, wrestling or the horses?" And to that he answered, "It's a toss up." What a guy!

Very cool that Jack E Lee was your dad. He was a mainstay of my youth at both RR and then Freehold later on. Great announcer. I was a huge fan!

@@rstefanie2622 : That’s very sweet! I have so many good memories of being in the booth with the best at his craft during a time when Harness Racing was kinda a big deal and Dad made it a big deal… My dad lived Harness Racing so much he gave up his announcing duties for the NY Mets and The WWF….I have a lot of cool memorabilia as well.

@@randylee1405 Thanks for the feedback. If I remember he was also announcing boxing at Madison Square Garden? And major events like Ali fights! Am I remembering correctly?

@@randylee1405 Thanks for confirming that Randy. His voice was transcending for those Ali fights at the Garden. So happy I ran across you. As I stated earlier, I was a HUGE Jack E Lee fan at both RR & FHLD.
