I'm 18 got a 1979 Trans Am bandit for 5k and put 2k on fixing it works great. This is an attainable car especially if your in America or Canada

@@themalibumessiah4596 Yeah. I can't wait to get my hands on my own. After watching movies like REDLINE and Smokey and the Bandit, I gotta get my hands on my own fun car. I initially looked over some roadsters, and settled on the Trans Am. ;)

Are anyone here who have one of this Firebirds? Is this really the Point of View, or is this Camera higher? Did you really see the whole Hood, while sitting in the Car oO
@jimkirk11633 жыл бұрын
Unless your short. The best view is a shadow of the car made when the sun is setting and your driving along .

Can this car be used as a daily driver ?? Great video thank's
@kallo1823 жыл бұрын
Everything can be used as a Daily Driver. Its just a question of Money. It is even better for a Car, to be moved regular, than standing in the Garage for weeks or months.
@swimmer85852 жыл бұрын
Everything can be used as a daily driver, but you want something reliable and decently fuel efficient for your daily. This is for fun

Mine was a daily, until I took it off the road to rebuild. Only pain, is you need a passenger, for the drive thru, multi storey car parks etc.

The car is in great shape. I had two 79's when i was 18 &19 years old a Black one with the Oldsmobile 403 engine and a Bronze one with the Pontiac 400. The Oldsmobile engine was way faster...
@jochache4 жыл бұрын
The 403 was not way faster. 185 HP with 2.73 gears vs the 400 with 220 rated HP (actually 260) and 3.23 gears and a 4 speed. I had the 400 and my buddy had the 403 and it was no competition at all.

@@jochache Well i had both of them and my results were different...

weljo2001 Then the unexplained discrepancy must have been the loose nut behind the wheel on your cars. The drivers of the other 107K ‘79 Trans Ams with the T/A 6.6 and 6.6 Litre engines would beg to differ with you. As well as all of the car magazine road test reviews back in the day. Not to mention the NHRA rated the Olds 403 at 185hp and the Pontiac W72 400 at 260-280hp!
@CaptainFALKEN4 жыл бұрын
I'm 23 and last year I had a white '79 TA with a PonTon 400 swap and I still say the olds 403 is just a dog. PONTIAC ALL THE WAY. I still have a vid of it in my "My Carz" playlist. Even everybody I've ever talked Pontiacs with at shows say the 403 was a dog in the TAs. I did meet this one guy with a '79 TA he bought on a backroad and had a 455 in it. Now, that's a beefy motor.
@frigglebiscuit7484 Жыл бұрын
@@jochache youre trying to compare the stock 403 to a w72 400, one you could only get for a few months in 1979.

Ya know, I've had somma these cars, and I gotta say the 70s had some tacky color combinations. Looks like an SE Bandit (blk/gld).. but with RED interior... why though. That red vinyl is mint. Would be better with a silver car or maybe red decals
