The Fluid Art Experience is back for 2024 and this time will be held in Asheville, NC, Thursday - Saturday, May 23-25! I’m thrilled to have been asked back as a Guest Artist and I’ll be teaching an entire day - two classes, three hours each! We’ll be focusing on an open cup technique using Amsterdam Pearl paints and a different pouring medium than you’re probably used to. In the second class, we’ll take on the challenging Angel Wing pour where we’ll use I’ll show you the perfect consistency and how to tilt so as not to go over the edge. We’ll be using #TLP pigments for this piece! We’ll have a Meet & Greet the first night, a Gala DInner with amazing food, an auction and a raffle of some incredible prizes provided by our phenomenal sponsors! **I got into acrylic pouring after playing around with epoxy resin and wanting to do some art with it. After realizing the amount of time it took to prep and clean up, it wasn’t quite as appealing to me anymore. That’s when I stumbled onto some KZbin videos about acrylic pouring and I WAS HOOKED. This was in 2020, and with COVID running rampant, it was the perfect thing to keep me occupied and staying home, safe and sound. This art form is extremely cathartic and empowering at the same time.
There’s no greater feeling than pouring paint on to a canvas and watching magic happen before your eyes! I’m so honored to be displaying my work in two local restaurants and a gallery, Art Machine Gallery, here in Houston - so exciting! Thank you so much for coming along on this journey with me!**
