1980 Black Corvette with Red interior, manual, from THE VETTE NET

Our latest arrival is a 1980 Corvette Coupe in a stunning and combo, Black with Red interior, also with with the rare 4-speed manual transmission, only 11% of production. Let's all remember that the 1980 model was the first with integrated spoilers in the front and rear bumpers, also, the last one with no electronics at all, making it a quite unique milestone from the stand point of appreciation and serviceability.
This Corvette went through a thorough restoration process with virtually every item getting the attention needed.
First of all, it just had a brand new paintjob, of great quality in the original color, "Black" as stipulated on the trim tag from the door jamb. New front and rear emblems are present. Interior is the correct factory Red and it has new seat covers, new steering wheel, new carpet, new shifter boot and many small items. Door panels and door handles are original and were refurbished. All gauges work, including the clock. Radio choice is left to the new owner. Power windows, tilt and telescopic steering wheel are present and functional. Odometer shows 53000 miles which are very likely original, judging by the overall condition of the car and the usual tell-tale signs.
The engine is the base L48 350 rated at 190 HP, matching numbers. It appears that the top of it was freshened up and it performs as it should, exhibiting lots of power with immediate start and no smoking. Engine compartment was detailed and is now customized with Chrome valve covers and air filter lid d. Manual transmission is crisp and a joy to play with. Vacuum system was gone through, gone a new can and a dash AC switch and now operates properly. AC system was serviced, re-charged and now blows cold air. A new Bosch battery with three-year replacement warranty was just installed.
Undercarriage appears in good condition and a newer exhaust is present. Brakes benefited from new rear calipers and perform very good.
A lot of blood, sweat and money was poured into this car so you won't have to..., but, as we all know, on this vintage, you will always have to tinker with something. At least, all major stuff was taken care of.

This is a VERY VERY BEAUTIFUL Corvette. The black paint job with the red interior is just awesome. There is just one thing I don't like about these '80, '82 Corvette's. Why have a Corvette with a 85 mph speedometer. Thats just crazy. Ok, beautiful car, beautifiul paint, beautiful interior.

beautiful car but a little overkill on the red interior. I think a black interior with a lot of red highlights and trim would look better.
