It is a shame that Dodge did not emphasize quality on the cars as well on their trucks. I was not rich enough to buy one of their D100's. I would loved a crew cab.

My father had a 1980 Dodge D100 long bed truck. It had the abysmal slant six in it, that engine needed a fucking ring job at only fucking 80K miles and the whole fucking wiring harness went to hell at about the same time! I had a 1979 Dodge D250 with a 318, I didn't have any problems with it and I put well over 100K miles on it before I traded it for a new truck in 1985. I would have liked to shove that slant six my father had right up Chrysler's ass! I know I won't buy a quarter ton pickup unless it is dirt cheap after my father's experience.

Compared to the competition, I’ve always thought Dodge had a lack of Character in the designs! Which began to be build slowly in the 80s, #HumbleOpinion
