I had trouble getiing the choke rite an since i set the mixture screws with a vacuum gauge an the idle speed rite its been a lot better

I had opened it all the way up because I was not sure if the hot wire was good. Once I found it was good I closed back. I just need to fine adjust just haven't had the chance again yet. I will make some adjustments when I get off work in the morning. Pulls around 18 vacuum at idle. The problem is you cant get a clear view of setting the timing because this engine came out of a car. So the one bracket blocks the spot.

@WestHanoverTruckin i painted the balancer silver an used a black marker for the marks an put a white line on the pointer made it a lot better to see

@peterselten500 I sanded so you could read and used a Sharpe for the marks. And painted the pointer. The problem is that there just isn't a good spot to get a direct line of slight. Unlike my 460, it is very easy to see and set. So every time I've been removing the distributor, I just set off top dead bottom. Which you set firing off the 5 cylinder. Alot of similarities between 335 and 385, but the firing order and magnetic pick up are not.
