Geoff played at Halifax in their 1985 championship winning side. He’d train on Tuesday nights, then get pissed at the Plumbet Line, train on Thursdays then get pissed at Crossleys bar, train on Saturday then get pissed at the Plumbet Line again. Play on a Sunday and frighten the living daylights out of all the opposition and then get pissed on Sunday night again. What a legend.

What a strange way to start the game. Brentnall gets the ball from kick off, then kicks it downfield. Then Gurr kicks it straight back. It's not rugby union. The game was very unexciting overall except when the tries were scored.
