1980 Harley Davidson FLT Shovelhead Project Part 5 HD 1080p

The parts fighting continues and now there is oil all over the shop. This place is a mess. Piles of parts all over, oil and whatever grime has has fallen off this motorcycle. What was I thinking with this project :)

FLT's were disliked by a lot of people when they came out since they weren't "friendly" when it came to modding them when compared to the FLH and FX frames but the rubber mount design did make for a smooth cruiser. Finding neutral at a stop light with the 5 speed transmission could be frustrating though.

Yes! I’ve ran into that a lot with the 5 speeds! They are smoother when it comes to the rubber mount. Have to say that I don’t mind either when it comes to solid mounted or rubber mounted.

I thought that the spoke wheels were only available with the springer seats. 1978 had the 1200 half the year and switched to the 80 mid year. I hope that you're not planning on chopping them.

You know. I’m not sure on spoke wheels and what specific models they came on you could be right as it makes sense. No chopping, just selling parts
