I loved mine. It made my job really easy and it withstood a lot of bouncing around inside the truck and protected the inside contents pretty well from the weather. Oddly I just threw it out after not using it for 25 years since I last drove a truck and didn’t see a need for it. I threw it out within the last week! So the timing was really weird for this video.

The aluminum clipboard; standard equipment in cruisers and contractor's pickups everywhere back in the 80's.

Working in an automotive shop for over 20 yrs, I see these all the time in one place or another. I've never owned one personally, but now after watching your video, I kind of want one.

Yeah, I first saw one years ago, and for some reason always wanted one, even though I don't really have a use for it...

I’ve got one that I picked up about 25 years ago that is almost identical. No inner removable tray, unfortunately…plus it’s got a few rough edges these days. It’s a beast, though. Still solid as the day I bought it.

I have one like that, but made by Saunders and with no secondary internal tray, just a pen compartment. It's really well made and cool looking, but I honestly don't find it very useful. Maybe it would be if I did a lot of driving around getting people to sign paperwork.

I'm not sure what brand it is, but I continue to use a battered aluminum clipboard purchase last decade. Thank you.
