I'm working on a 1979 right now for my friend. It hasn't been running since 1993. I got it from the estate of another friend who had over 150 motorcycles and thousands of memorabilia.

Nice bike, I don't know how you find bikes like this... I'm southeast of Pittsburgh, you don't see these kinds of bikes on the road...I would love to find a bike like that... I graduated high school in 82. So, these were the bikes of my time... I enjoy your videos... 😎

Thank you, I'm glad you are enjoying the channel. It is easy to get burned on non-running bikes (there's always risk involved). But, I've been blessed to find many great projects over the years. This bike was listed locally for months before I picked it up. It is on the lift now getting the full service.🙂

That is barn find motorcycle, so good original condition for over 40 years old bike with so low miles. Congratulations for that. Hope you take off that carrier and sissybar ?
@MeanierThanEver2 жыл бұрын
There is also dual fuel taps, cool thing !
@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev35382 жыл бұрын
The rack and sissy bar are OE Yamaha accessories but they do spoil the lines of the bike a bit.😉

What a clean bike. The corrosion on the engine cases actually to me looks like the spotting left by a degreaser. The factory headers on all old Japanese bikes are double wall which can keep the outer tube in nice condition.
@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev35382 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mike! Yeah, I think this one will clean up nicely. 🙂

Does anyone know where I can find pre made spark plug wires for a 1985 Honda VF 700 Sabre V45? All I can find is universal wires that don’t connect into the Honda coils correctly. Thanks!

@@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev3538 I’m not sure if they’re the same or not. They only have it listed for the larger motor. I ended up ordering a set of used coils and wires off eBay. I’ll just use the best of what’s there for now.

@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev35382 ай бұрын
www.partzilla.com is a great site. www.mikesxs.com is a good XS1100 parts site as well. I also buy many parts from eBay and occasionally Amazon as well as swap meets, etc. With classic bikes there's no such thing as one-stop shopping. You need to develop a support network. It's part of the experience. Cheers!
