Ah, good to see Beeston & Chilwell, Nottingham back then

MaX1MuS2k7 - it looks like the view of the raised section of Nottingham Rd., over the old Army land, taken from Toton end and looking towards Attenborough / Chilwell. The retail park would now be on the right, Lidl, Corn Mill and Reg Vardy on the left. I'm assuming I'm correct - it looks like Attenborough church in the distance. If you look at the photo at 1:48, this was taken at the other end, looking towards Toton. We used to kneel on the back seat of the no.5 Barton's coach from Long Eaton as we went over the bridge to watch the tanks and Land Rovers on the boggy terrain below. I also remember the pipes sticking up in the car park when the retail park was built to vent all the methane from the boggy mess below. The retail park used to stink! Still does, but that'll be the crap churned out by McDonalds....

the last part of the vid @ 2:25 i used to live next door to that snooker hall, im pretty sure before that it was a cinema

Tom Snow - that building was originally The Astoria cinema on Derby Rd just before Priory Island - on the corner of Boundary Rd. I also remember it as a bingo hall and a snooker hall before it was bulldozed. I remember it being left as a pile of rubble for ages. Now a nonscript office block.

Sorry I was wrong earlier, at 1.00 it's the old overbridge at the end of Barton Lane going over the railway lines into Chilwell depot looking east, it's Attenborough church in the backgound. 1.03 shows it looking west towards Long Eaton
