I worked on that open toped bus in 1978 as an apprentice in Mosley Birmingham. It was a Daimler Fleetline that had had an argument with a low bridge , I was an apprentice sheet metal worker so all the panels, cappings ect was my department along with four other lads. I remember the seats being stripped and the cushions replaced with ash and varnished to protect from the wet weather. Really interesting project we all thought , learned lots from very skilled instructors great days .

Yeah all the traffic is now bumper to bumper queuing on the A roads trying to get in...God knows why. Streets with countless cafes and restaurants, no shops of any note , bad sewerage smells from the drains and careful not to trip up over all the 'homeless' beggars and junkies
