Bert staat daar begrijpelijk happy te wezen want alle mannen keken verlekkerd naar de bijzonder aantrekkelijke Jerney maar hij wist dat ze later die avond weer bij hem aan z'n zijde zou liggen, de mazzelpik.

This is what happens when managers and record companies take over a band.

What a shame. Even the lead singer looks like a different person.

@@GuilhermeBrancaleone she isn't but she was part of the problem. They started as a bloody good prog rock band and ended up as a failed Top 40 combo. terrible shame.

@@marks.6480 What's the reason?
@marks.64802 жыл бұрын
@@Napalm_lover they had an unexpected huge hit with a very commercial song and after that, they tried to repeat the success with very weak songs. eventually the original founding brothers were fired and replaced and that was really the end of it.

@@marks.6480 You might find me strange, but i kinda liked "Andromeda girl" album. And when i firstly heard "Weekend", i was absolutely stunned about the band and Jerney especially. Sad

can it really be that's the same band who produced great music like "Song Of The Marching Children"!!
@Wuppie628 жыл бұрын
Well, yes and no. In this setting, the twin brothers Chris and Gerard Koerts are missing, because they'd already left the band some years before. Without them Earth and Fire wasn't the same band anymore.
@CaseyVan7 жыл бұрын
They kind of went into space while the Koerts twins were still in the band right? I mean in '75 with that synthesizer laden space funk.
@Wuppie627 жыл бұрын
Casey Van They used - in the sixties and early seventies - the Mellatron, a music device that preceeded synthesizers. Its an analog device that used 'endless' tapes, on which you could put a noise/sound/sample and then play it.
@harmono87667 жыл бұрын
Yes on Marching Children, Atlantis, and earlier they heavily used Mellotron which is not a endless tape, it's actually a 8 second strip of tape that is re-set every time the note is played, and was originally intended for lounge music. But in '75 the sound started to change. It was still prog rock, but it started to get more funky, and not quite as good. Then after that it was more pop sounding, and although it was pop played well it was obviously very commercial, not underground pop. They went from sounding like Jefferson Airplane to sounding like Abba or something.
