I should’ve watched this yesterday. My dad’s 76 FXE has the original oil lines and they were a bit dried up and leaky, so I was replacing them. I got all of them except the feed line at the bottom of the tank. I was ok with doing a major tear down to get the oil tank out, but what stopped me was I couldn’t figure out how to get the bolts that attach the battery tray to the oil tank. You can’t get a socket on them, and it looks awful to get at them with a wrench. Maybe a crows foot on a ratchet? Oh well, hopefully the feed line will hold up until I can get to resealing the transmission. I’ll be more determined to get the oil tank out at that time.
