I live in Minnesota where it is very cold in the winter. I keep the curtains open when the sun comes in and can warm a room, and keep them closed when there is no sun. It does make a difference. You have a lot of work ahead of you. It is such a cute trailer, can't wait to see the changes.

Hey there! My neighbour just painted her trailer a charcoal color! It looks beautiful with white windows. I don't have a hallway in my trailer, 2 big bedrooms front and back, open livingroom and kitchen. Having no hallway gives you alot bigger, and open living space. The bathroom is outside one bedroom, and the laundry room is outside the other. Loved your tour! TFS Hugs!

Those pictures in your bedroom are of pinkie and blue boy. My grandma had a ceramic shop and we had molds of figurines of them that people in our ceramics classes in the 60's would turn into lamps. 😊

I love you showing it the Way you live in it. I just purchased a 32' fifth wheel and set it up on an acre that I purchased with City water and sewer but In the county limits only. I looked for a used home but couldn't get it financed with the moving and set up. The 5th works for me and it is just as nice as a mobile home but smaller. I was able to get it moved much cheaper and set it up myself. I'm content and will most likely stay in this and just upgrades. It's a 2005 and therefore has the wood cabinetry and built so much better all around. I love what you're doing with your home. If I was going to purchase a mobile it would be around that year that I would want. That one looks to be built pretty well. Can't wait to see what you do with it

I would use that window plastic covering that you blow dry shrink to the window. It shrinks to a clear see through like your looking out the window. But also really works at keeping the cold out. But yes all those windows are awesome. And I love your view out your bedroom windows.

Nice place I lived in a trailer in my early 20s .. when you do your floors I would suggest replacing your water lines if they haven’t been I would replace them regardless for health concerns ..it’s easy I did mine by myself at 21 with no plumbing knowledge .. you can reseal your metal roof to if you have one .. replace your exterior doors with steel doors .. I learned allot living in trailer budgeting money and doing things myself ..anything is possible family and friends were not as receptive about trailer living when I was living in one there is and was a stigma that I think is going away . Now that I’m 46 and retired with a few homes I think they understand what I was doing . Stay blessed and invest!

FYI Amazon sells flush mounted ceiling fan with the light inside it is less than 4” and no blades turning around. I have low ceilings and they work really well but they are about $90.00 and have a remote control.

Hi Erica, I love the projects you guy's are going to be doing, I was supposed to be painting, walls and ceilings this winter and I stopped at the living room. It's going to get done but maybe not in my time frame in "my mind😂".I have all insulated black out curtains i got on Amazon and they have been a life saver,this winter has been cold and rainy. Just a suggestion for painting it gave me inspiration but made it less hard start with the walls thats less painting. I have more paneling and just one wall in the kitchen which i did in late spring. New comer to channel. Do you rent these trailors? I'm also in Appalachia and have lived in mobile homes all my life. Do you take care of plumbing and insulation? Because I know from over fifty years of living in them there is a lot if work that you must keep up with. Not to mention appliances etc. and bills.
