And. In 1981. PSU. Who was #1 for 9 weeks before losing 2 straight to Miami and Alabama. My God. Did PSU play a big boy schedule. Beat #1 Pitt 48-14. Pitt beat GA in 1982 Sugar Bowl. Giving Clemson the Natty. This was the biggest game in CFB mid 70's to early 80's. Not arguable.

As much as I could not stand penn st I did respect them. Now I still can’t stand them, don’t respect them and don’t know why they didn’t get the death penalty.
