1982 Malibu Classic Engine (229 V6 and 3-Speed Automatic)

A quick video of the powerhouse 229 cubic inch engine in my old stove. If anyone would like to see any other parts of the mostly original and mostly untouched car, let me know.

You've got a good one. I can't believe they still make Malibu's 40 years after this one. I guess if you want two Malibu's 40 years apart, you can buy a 2022 one, but I don't recommend it, the current generation ones are built like crap.

Edelbrock edl2112 cam will really wake that 229 up. Adds nearly 50hp. Then a 4 barrel and intake and headers will get to right around 190hp

It is tempting but I have to keep it as mint and original as possible. I did replace the timing chain back in 1996 with a Cloyes double roller. I probably gained at least .5 to .8 hp!

Never sell it. I had a 82 Malibu my mom had but it fell into disrepair and donated it to charity. I have to live with that regret everyday

@@dueljet Nice in 1981 i when to car dealer with my parent they buy a new Malibu Classic , same color s than your s . In 1989 my parents give it me to go at the coledge. Now in 2020 i still have it .
