1983 AMAROO Highlights Round 3 AMSCAR

Amaroo The days when NSW used to have it's own race series :) The only time the factory teams used to turn up was when it was a round of the ARDC. Never again will there be such variety in touring cars in Australia. The rest of the card was great as well Sports sedans and Sports cars. Clearly the greatest era IMHO. Locally built cars, locally configured rules and parity without conformity. Sponsorship that didn't completely smother the cars, common sense safety as well as a lack of high price corporate boxes keeping out the average spectator from all the good spots to watch the racing. This video is also a pleasant reminder of just how many RX7's were racing at the time. Cheers

Remember watching Romano in that beast at Amaroo,every weekend there used to be motorsport at that track.
