When I was a kid, an older woman in our church had one exactly like this but in a champagne color. When I left home 14 years later in ‘97, she still had it and it still looked brand new. It looks like this one was in equally good hands.

Inherited a 1983 two door version with the 4 cylinder from my grandma in 1989 and was the first car I ever drove. Thank you for sharing and bringing back so many good memories.

My first car was a 1985 Skylark Custom…grey with red interior. Sold it in 1993 with 111,000 miles. Was a good car. Put a new stereo in with a tape deck. Yours was in excellent shape at that time.

It reminds me of my dads old ‘83 century. Same hubcaps, same color interior, paint, those red pinstripes, and even the same engine.

didn't the '83 Century have the Buick 3.0L V6?
@michaelbergschneider24462 жыл бұрын
Yes, it was 3.0 2BBL Buick 90deg V6. The 2.8 was a 60deg Chevy Engine, also with a 2BBL carb.

These are decent cars. I have one with 220,000 miles on it, dont know how many km that is. This is nice, a Limited, and with the V6.

I take it you're from Egypt and have one of those, yes?
@jamessouthworth1699 Жыл бұрын
I had one of these with the V6 and the engine suddenly developed nasty valve train noise and died. I would take the 4 cylinder model over the V6. The Iron Duke 4 cylinder is bulletproof.

+gob “gobloit” loit Hi there, the car was in a warehouse under dusty bedding sheets. I removed it, and this was the car that was under it. The car belonged to a very old lady, she stop driving it, and didn't make a effort on selling it. When I went to Colorado in 2012, I work at Talbott's Farm. And needed to have transport. This car was like new, and I just needed to charge the battery. At the end of my contract, me and a friend drove it to Nevada, Las Vegas. In one go. Car drove like a dream, no overheat, no gaskets blown, no radiator problems, nothing. The only problem it had was, when we wanted to come back the Alternator blew out. We had it fixed "down town" for like $75. The mechanic told us that the vehicle started to sweet some oil (could be that the gaskets got dried out from standing to long), but we didn't topped it up, because it was still on the full mark. I placed it on Graig's List before I came back to South Africa, and within 4 hours I sold it for $2500. Made profit, and had a very nice time with Beaula The Buick.
