big sky ? you in montana ? im curious about these diesels. i grew up riding in one horse shoeing truck. i love the old diesels. im reading the horse power and torque specs and wondering how they could tow and be in these big trucks with such low numbers. 220 torque? is that right? my f150 had 300hp and 360 torque. im wondering how this old chevy would tow. im lookibg at maybe biying one

Is this 1983 GMC k30 for sale I don't want it as a dually so I ask you to convert it into a single rear wheel. Also did u know you can even replace the 6.2 litre Diesel with a 1995 5.9 L Cummins Turbo Diesel from a Dodge ram Heavy duty. I would like to purchase ur 1983 GMC Sierra Classic 3500 Square Body but if you can do a 5.9 Cummins swap and convert the dually axle into a single rear wheel.

no this is a turbo 400 automatic two wheel drive 1 ton the green dually 1 ton is a 4 speed 4 wheel drive with a 454 running on propane

Not a fan of either. It's knocking what's left of the top end of that ol 6.2 out. They were pretty weak though. The 6.5 with turbo a much better engine

You shouldn’t use ether to start a diesel. Use WD-40.

dumbest thing you can do to 6.2 diesel is use either. The motor has way too high compression for either.

Those 6.2 litre diesels are gutless and fuel pigs but a really nice body and the gas motors are good

Weird, got an 83 K20 gets 26mpg on the hiway marine pump n injectors thing roasts tires no problem.
