I had this bike back home when I was young, almost identical known as CG125. Most popular and loved bike in Pakistan. The best sounding and most favorite exhaust sound when heard in person.

I had a '78 Honda CB 125S. It had a framed plastic molding around the speedo and tac. Plastic fenders. Non disc brakes. Top speed of about 48mph going downhill. Bought it used. Hated it. Then loved it. It was a solid bike and wish I hadn't sold it.

I had one of these back in 1980 but in the orange/red colour. It was a great little bike.

Had a CB125J back in 77. This looks pretty original although exhaust on this is different and mine was Orange. Great little reliable bike. Engine sound here takes me back 45 years!

I'm 99% sure the video bike is also a "J" rather than an "S". The S had the gaiters on the stancheons, decals as shown here and a few other differences. My old J was also orange. The J letter never actually appeared on the bike, it kept the S.

boy im excited to get one of these once my uncle has his check tomorrow :) bein out in the country with no friends and hardly anything else to do besides play my instruments play games and watch vids things have been boring these times, today as kind as my stepdad was he brought out the 4 wheeler to borrow from his dad for riding as something for me to do while im waiting, that has story of its own i wont waste time with, but surely seems like a fun machine, to practice riding on out in these countrys until im ready to ride my kawasaki KLX 650, that also has a story of its own, but as short as i can put it riding that thing, i just aint tall enough or strong enough to ride it, but yes, a good review and ride along 😁👍and informative and helpful.

bought my tires seperate lol : old /dry rot tire / i did 43 mph.. and scared to apply last bit throttle! i gueing 55 mph easy! maybe 60.. im 250lbs.. i luv this bike.. 70mpg ..2 - gal tank.. just goes and goes.. for miles.. maybe 10 days of commute on a tank.. lol. 2- wks working..

i have the cb125s 1982- no tac.. just speed dial- also drum front brake- ...im desperate need help .. new tires- front is 2.75 X 18.... back tire is 3.00 X 17.... i try buy ties and only give 1 size for both :>(.. is this common? i need this fixed - my truck is down for a while! please help !

I had an H too. B933 ATG. Zippy as hell, in fact not much slower than the 250N I owned after getting my test! (But it least it was a full size bike not a chicken chaser.)

Had a look on David Silver spares they dont seem to have the body panel that covers the battery wouldnt mind spraying one if it's a different colour thanks lads!

I have a blue and red almost 90% same besides the shape of silencer And they are Blue 1976 This is where Honda japan started the cheap and short cuts My 1976 did not have a tach,center stand Half rear chrome fender and half black plastic over the wheel The chrome quality was very poor The engine was larger then the 1975 model cb125s (74-75 was a gr8 model) Red 1977

Yep about 65mph. Downhill with no headwi d and laying on the tank about 70mph. Nearly 100mpg too. Had one in 77 and loved it, much better than the oyster smelly 2 strokes of the other brands

@@retrobikesdublin I owned one of these back in 1981and 1982 I think. It was my first motorcycle. However, during one of those recent testride events at a local motorcycle shop, I was able to testride MANY different bikes including powerful ones. When I rode some "dinky" bike, the fun level went WAY down. I had to do full throttle speed shifts just to keep up with the "pack". Not always about the power... true, if you are not in a hurry to go anywhere and/or not concerned with keeping up with the pack. Good for gas mileage though. For people that have ridden them, they already know the "fun" level, so "more fun than you think" doesn't apply to them.
