Finally did the oil and filter change on my vintage 1983 Honda XL600R. Used the Clymer handbook as a manual to make sure I'm doing it right and it was pretty simple. Cheers!

Hey bud, I also own a 1983 XL600R like yours. I live in South Africa and we have so many dirt roads, you can't cover all of them in a lifetime. What a great bike you have.... Come chase some elephants and crocodiles down here......

Some of the best bikes ever, that fact that there are still a bunch running around is a testament to their reliability.

I found the same bike for sale in my area. Are they worth getting & fixing up? The guy is asking $700. Are parts easy to find, or is it a pain to get parts since it's from the 80s?
@MrCaribu Жыл бұрын
There are still parts available depending on where you live. In US it's easier to get parts and once you get it fixed you'll love it. $700 is definitely a good deal if it doesn't engine rebuilt.

Hi, I want to restore my 1984 Honda XL600R and would like to know where I can buy original Honda parts and accessories for my old Honda model? Thanks and hoping for your help.
@MrCaribu2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I buy all the parts from Ebay and I think that's the only option right now. Good luck with your restoration :)

Hi Mr. Caribu, thanks so much for your reply and hopefully I can buy what I need Ebay. Also, when I bought my Honda a long time ago, it did not have the Separator, Breather (Part # 17370-435-315). Is this something important that I should buy and install?
