If I got scammed that much, I would have trouble not putting that person's name/business name on blast. At least you were able to find the 1983 silencer. It sucks when you have to deal with a model year of bike that has hard to find parts and ones that aren't compatible from other model years, kind of like how the 90's CRs are.

@@TNTMOTO the seller ends up paying a fee when it's setup as "buying goods or services" however, it covers you in a situation like this. The fee is very small, i believe it's 5%? I'm not 100% sure but i would never "send money to a friend" when buying something from someone i don't know.

Paypal gives you the option to send money through goods and services. Makes the buyer pay a fee but if something is wrong you get your money back weather your a business or not. Alls you have to do is send a return tracking number proving you send the product back. I dont ever send money, friends and family unless they are. Or i know the person.

I was told by the whole English speaking world that i would never find a bunch of perished rubber and plastic parts for my TLM200R. They openly mocked me about it! Then i stumbled onto a russian company based in japan and next thing you know ive got a fully restored TLM....where the replacement parts cost 3 times the value of the bike so no one will buy it!

Ya problem with restoring is you have to keep on budget if you plan to break even. I know when i restore my 89 CR500 next year i will never stay within a budget. But that bike is for me and will probably never be sold.
@theravedaddy4 жыл бұрын
@@TNTMOTO the problem out here in thailand is the bikes are fucked to a stump when you buy them and priced at plus restored value already. They seem to think a restored bike is the same value as a wreck. They will fit lifan 125 engines in CR250s rather than spend $200 more and import parts!
