5:26 As I watched this game on television back in 1984 I didn’t realize (at the time) that I saw the crossover dribble for the first time. I always gave Tim Hardaway credit for the crossover dribble when Hardaway himself said he learned it from watching The Pearl. RIP Dwayne “Pearl” Washington

Pearl was the best. watched him in person absultely light up the Garden both in '85 and '85. A true playground legend. RIP Pearl.

Hoyas were my favorite for long time too. Michigan has always been my top team across football, basketball, baseball, hockey etc... but the Hoyas have always been 2 or 1b. The Alonzo Mourning era, mutom., Iverson, and of course this very era we are watching in this video... Reggie Williams was the man to me.

@cooper4820114 жыл бұрын
In terms of officiation, this game will go down as the WORST officiating game in all of basketball🏀history. These dumb refs couldn’t distinguish a ball-fist punch from a basketball foul. SMH
@Biggdoom3444 жыл бұрын
Iron Physique Refs knowing the history between these teams called it real tight which resulted an a foul fest the first half. By today’s standards both Ewing and Graham would have been ejected. But back then, fights in the big east were common and did not result in ejections. That did not change until the final four brawl between providence and Syracuse in 87. At that point the NCAA stepped in and the big east made changes.
