I just finished building the fuel system, transmission, and engine. It's no longer LS1 but it's a gen 4 6.0 LQ9 with some go fast mods. Imma do an update video.

Man that is a beautiful truck…..nice build…i have a similar one but white and its a ‘73 with a vortech supercharged 5.3……i like that seat idea…i might have to look into doing that……mine has a terminator X system with a 220/220 cam , 3000 stalled th350 with 12 bolt 3.73 rear….it scoots….i have a 370” LQ9 that im gonna put in there once i finish building my 408 to replace the 370” thats in my nova…its a 11.15:1 compression LSA supercharged motor and it runs like hell!!!

I think the wheel and tire package would have been fine it I had a larger tire. I've since changed the wheels to Bassett Inertia with 275/60/15's all around. Looks pretty sporty. I have a newer video where you can see it.

Building an 82 GMC Sierra just like it, only has single headlights. Put in a dbw stock 6.0 and a 4L80E. Thinking about putting on a hydrovac brake booster, have a couple of them.

Mine was an hight Sierra 81 locking the same with 4 beam in the front and a car bumper in the rear but with huge rubber at each corner and with electric windows. I should have keep it 🥰🤑

If I did it over I'd use a 2 stage system and spray it with a satin clear instead of a single stage urethane. I'm running Basset race wheels now, but I like the smoothies or stock dog dish look

It's hard to say. Depends on a lot of variables. My truck is torn down again. I'm in the process of building the turbo hot side piping and T56 swap. So it'd be awhile before I could get to it. I'm in Florida also

Nice. I just built this 4L60E with all 4L70 internals and added the Sonnax close ratio 6 pinion planetary and added a couple clutches to the 3-4 drum and made a bunch of pressure modifications. I hope it holds up 😬. If you do it, use a base coat/clear coat and use a satin clear. Easier to lay than this single stage. Good luck with it! Hard to find these trucks now.

I don't have the part number but it's the "Tsunami" camshaft from Texas Speed. I don't typically do tunes on any past Bolton. It gets too time consuming and a lot of people aren't good mechanics so I end up troubleshooting all their problems. Lol

I used the factory frame and welded brackets for the new seat to bolt to. I'm 6'3 so I didn't need any adjusters and mounted it solid to the floor. It still flips forward to get behind the seat tho

Are you going to boost it? I ran a boosted 5.3 that melted #7 piston twice on 93 Oct. Narrowed it down to the coolant cross over. Truck motors don't have a crossover and I had an air pocket and melted that piston twice pointed at the water jacket. Also, tune it for E85 and you won't regret it.

4/6 drop. Flip kit in the rear, 2" spindle with a cut coil up front. Bilstein shocks, don't remember the part numbers. Comfortable better than stock ride.

@JNork Thanks sir. That makes a lot of sense actually. I did a beltech 4/6 drop as well with rear flip kit. My issue was the front sat too high. Knowing that you cut your coils makes sense. Love the stance.

I just cut and pounded the center of the bracket flat. Made tabs and mine fit right it. Not my favorite way of doing it but it works.

@jnork5005 oh yeah man, lots of rubber and width. I do like that as well but I don't want to lower it too much. Also don't like too much wheel gap is why I'm choosing 17's with decent meat on em. Going between a 3/4 drop with spindles/shackles and hangers Vs flip kit and spindles with lowering springs but I'd like to retain all the suspension travel. Leaning with no flip kit

I got them from Amazon. I recommend the harness jumpers to go with them so you don't have to modify your chassis harness.

Either Amazon or Ebay. I want to say they were around 80bux. You have to get longer screws for the beauty rings and the fit into the stock bucket. You will also have to run harness adapters to use your stock chassis harness. They are super nice though
