Thank you AlexM1 As you know, the former Eastern Block ( but Romania) boycotted 1984 Olympics.Therefor I haven't seen this footage and was long time wondering ,what happened, with the ABC's Wide World of Sports filming in Varna, before the '84 Games. Hello Blagoy Blagoev. I'm glad you enjoyed the Wide World of Sports footage. This is one of the earliest weightlifting moments I have that I've converted from VHS to DVD. It's a bit grainy, but that's because of its age. I've watched this many times, and it's always inspirational to watch your segments. Great lifting!!

Wow, I miss ABC's Wide World of Sports. When ABC WWS went off the air you couldn't catch all the brilliant stars of weightlifting, wrestling, and boxing who were set on going to the Olympics. Seeing Jim Lampley before he covered the Olympics for NBC and HBO Boxing is kind of cool too.
