Wow ! What a race ! These guys were So Fast but looks like some serious problems with tracks that year. This was the first year with the new "A" arm sleds, yellow are factory sleds. Super trick F-1 twin-trackers !

actually 84 was conventional 4 Bar front suspension and early development single rail rear suspensions. The winning sled (number 15) I purchased the following year. The sled was destroyed in a crash at Valcourt. The new "A" Arm design came out in 1985 and included first RAVE engine on Michelle Gingras World Championship winner, then a run of 15 sleds was built in 1986.

He owns a marina in Honey Harbour called Paragon Marine. Doing well. Bought a float plane and an island last I heard. We used to go up to his place from Midland by sled in winter and boat in summer.

Some glaring track maintenance and safety issues with ice dust accumulation and visibility. Wow!

Awesome video! I am putting together a promotional video for Oval Racing coming to my town, wondering if I could use some clips from your footage?
