1984 Lakers at Celtics

This is the 6/12/1984 Lakers at Celtics game. NBA Finals game 7. Since the 79 NCAA final Larry Bird and Magic Johnson had crossed paths a few times in the regular season. Both men had won NBA title but for Larry Bird this was his first real redeption for that NCAA loss. It was a great series but The Celtics were a little better team. Bird won the MVP award. I claim no rights.

Actually hardly anyone thought Boston was going to win this series going in. Seemed even less likely for Celtics after Game 3 blowout win for Lakers. Things went better for LA in 85. Quite a rivalry
