@@luckybamboo104 True, when we hit 1982, the first big thing and until today this really a great helping hand for our hair GEL finally landed in market, this helped set our hairstyle in shape. 80’s was the peak for designing studies of any kind, graphic, interior, and fashion took the lead as inspired by the success of a couple of domestic designers, plus show biz was in its gilded age which created a new job called image consultant. That’s why everything back then had a lot to do with the look and this made our clothes much more serious.

The Lee family is known to tear down most properties no more than thirty years. In the mid 80’s, I used to work at Sunning Plaza facing the Lee Gardens and both were gone to give way for the new establishments. Sunning Plaza was such a nice building complex with its connection Sunning Court sitting right behind and I would say it looked like an oasis in a city. If u remember Chow Yuen Fat’s ‘ The Better Tomorrow ‘, that was where they shot the film. I do miss the Lee Gardens Hotel where the second floor called Terrace, the Chinese food was pretty good like wonton noodle. Now it’s all distant memory...
It was a beautiful time for Hong Kong. All the stars shining throughout Asia. Hong Kong would never reach the cultural heights again as long as the Chinese Communists have the grip over the city.
She’s my all time favorite even after almost four decades. I guess I just finished my HKCEE when watching this show since back in the days the show was scheduled in between late May and June in order to catch up with Miss Universe Pageant. If u are fifty or above, u might remember Go Li Hung really made the news headline for months after being crowned and was acknowledged to be the perfect 10, the most representing Miss Hongkong ever.

@@barrydemay3348 The fact that her father was Italian Australian gave her all the advantages in the world during the time of colonial Hongkong. The Hongkongers always fell for the allure of "East meets West". And even now they still do.........😝😝
