The older kids than me in my neighborhood in the 1980s had these. Really popular. They would change the rear tires to Dick cepek spyder tracs. If I remember right Suzuki went to blue and white colors in late 80s. Great video and a thumbs up!

My dad came home with the 86 when I was ten. It was an absolute dream come true! Rode that thing into the ground. Good times!!

I had the '85 model (on the left) and I absolutely loved it. I remember getting dressed up at midnight in December in New England and going out on the snowmobile trails totally bombing through with the snow coming down hard. I would pretend that I was in space and the snowflakes were stars and I'd be trying to avoid them. The feeling is impossible to describe. I was truly truly in heaven riding that quad at 1:AM through those trails weaving through literally hundreds of miles of trails. One of the bigger trails went through our pasture and into the woods and we would see sleds coming through all night long by the hundreds. I can't put into words how riding that quad as a kid made me feel. If you can think of your greatest memory then multiply it by a million and it still wouldn't come close to what it was like. I feel beyond fortunate for those experiences and what I would give to be able to do it again. I would give anything to be able to go back in time and do it all over again. Anything.

I grew up riding the one 86. Ran that thing for YEARS. thing could take a beat, and it took a beating for over a decade.

I rode the 1985 in this video quite a little bit while I had it. It was more fun than any other 4 stroke sport ATV I had ridden. Good power, handling and suspension.

@MacWorthVintageATVs I never liked the seat height the bars were low it just didn't fit like a honda... now I do have alot of hours on one but thats what we had so that's what we rode

@@MacWorthVintageATVsThat's the perfect description regarding how much fun that machine was. I absolutely loved my '85 QuadSport. I would get dressed up in the middle of the night so I could go down to the barn and just look at it. I eventually traded it for the '85 QuadRacer and immediately regretted it. The fun I had on that 'Sport is impossible to duplicate on anything else. I swear that thing was magic.

I had an 86-lt230 that was bored within 260-290cc it was built by a vet and was super fast but traded it for a ytm200e, never looked back since

I bought one of these brand new in 1985 . It was a nice machine but I cracked the swingarm after six weeks. I figured that was a sign that it wasn't tough enough for my aggressive riding so I traded it in at my local Honda dealer and got an ATC350X . No regrets.

Yeah had two of those. One running and one for parts. A handyman who my elderly mother used asked her what she was going to do with those dust old quads. She gave my quads away for five hundred dollars without asking me. Never mind I hold the origin certificate for both. The fact someone he screwed burned his shed with the quads in it and then he died of a drug overdose is little consolation.

Me and my best friend back in early 90s would ride for hrs every day on our farm when we were kids. I had an 86 Big Red and a 87 LT125, and he had a 84 honda 70 and a 85 LT230 and I remember how well that 230 ran. I honestly think the 230s and 250 quadracers had the all time sexiest body designs of any quad. Just curious but did that 230 sell?
