Hank and Tom Mann were a giant portion of my childhood. Spent every Saturday morning with my grandpa going through bags of Mann’s Jelly worms and watching reruns of Outdoor Magazine on old VHS tapes because my uncle had cable and my grandpa didn’t. I think I still have some of those old VHS tapes around here. Thanks for the memories fellas!!!

In 1985, Hank Parker’s Outdoor Magazine premiered, introducing the beloved outdoorsman and angler, Hank Parker, to the world of television. Before that, in 1979, he won his first Bassmaster Classic tournament and was named B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year in 1983. With Michael Runnels, Parker formed the production company Parker/Runnels Productions in 1984, and filming began for the show. Hank Parker’s Outdoor Magazine quickly became a popular show, and it’s still running today! I recently found out that the theme song for Hank Parker’s Outdoor Magazine during the first two seasons was called “Chunkin’ and Windin’” by Eddie Reasoner and was also used for Jimmy Houston Outdoors. If you’re not familiar with the show, it’s a fishing show that began airing in 1985 with Hank Parker as the host. After two seasons, they stopped using “Chunkin’ and Windin’” over music rights issues and had Wm. A. Landers take over as the sole music composer for the show.👍

I remember watching Tom Mann outdoors and he was always using a spinning rod. Well to a twelve year old I couldn't afford a baitcaster but could afford a spinning outfit. Seeing Tom a professional using a spinning rod made me feel like a big tome fisherman

I'm hoping to watch some old episodes of Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine, but I can't seem to find season 1. I think it would be really great to see the earlier episodes of the show to see what it was like back then. You should also reupload the first two seasons of your show since you have the rights to the music now. A lot of us fans would love to see some of the episodes from back then again.👍
