Just a boring look at this car I picked up for $1200.

Nice 1985 Crown Vic. I own two Crown Victoria wagons and a 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis LS sedan. The 1987 wagon has 248,000.0 miles on it and still runs like a watch and the 1991 LX model wagon only has 12,000.0 miles on it since a complete restoration in 2020. These Panther platform cars have stood the test of time . I am sure you will enjoy your car.

That's probably the most basic 1st gen Ford Panther Crown Victoria I think I've ever seen. Still a great car and a bullet proof platform. The cars built on Ford's Panther platform will run practically forever. Looks like this particular Crown Vic. was ordered with standard equipment or lowest trim package. I think air conditioning, cruise control, tilt wheel and AM/FM Stereo were all standard equipment on the first-generation Crown Victoria. I don't even think it was possible to get deletes of any of those standard features. My family owned two Ford Crown Victorias, A 1984 and a 1991 and they were both great cars and were very well optioned and close to being fully loaded.

Dare bumper sticker goes so nicely on it, really gives it a cop feel, the second bumper sticker I could care less about though, I don't care much for political propaganda.

What a cool car, you should check mine out. I have a 1991 LTD Crown Victoria, very preserved condition and it has 73,000 original miles.

Sweet car and in quite reasonable condition. The speedometer is too less for this car. It surely can reach above 100mph.

I noticed that when you started up this 1985 Ford Crown Vic, it made no sound for the warning reminder at all. Did this 1985 Crown Vic originally come with a chime or a buzzer?

It did have a chime, but it was very faint. Probably didn’t pick it up on the video.

Some coke a cola should get rid of the rust on the front bumper. I had a 87 same color sand beige. Also don't want to slam the glove box, I did and it got stuck closed. I also had 2 12in subs in the deep well trunk and a clarion head unit. I have to say yours is in excellent condition for an 85.

I can't remember the last time when i saw a Crown Victoria of this vintage that didnt have the optional vinyl roof. Did the car come that way or was it removed??? I say that because the car looks like it's had some body panel/paint repair so maybe the vinyl top was taken off?

This car is in excellent shape. Would say that this car was a bare bones car optioned with A/C & am/fm radio. Has roll up/down windows. Probably no power locks. Those cars would have no 1/2 vinyl roof. Has throttle body fuel injection, unless Canadian model which carried on with a carburetor.

I hear you, I prefer the hardtop 79-91's myself, the half vinyl roof was okay but it just didn't give it that cop look I like so much.

Base model LTDs didn't have the roof. Cop cars never did.

I would say because the roof is an all-hard roof it was probably ordered that way or built that way from the factory (based on the trim package) deleting the half and half 50/50 landau top. First Generation Crown Vic Police interceptors P71 usually also always had the 50/50 landau soft top delete.
