Love it! I saw Ron Love win his 1st national level show in 1985 in Beaumont, Texas. In January 1989 i made a pilgrimage to World Gym in Venice. I watched Phil Williams do endless sets of thigh extensions, and nothing more. I wondered at the time why i trained so hard, yet he was light years ahead of me physique wise. And my being drug free might have been 1% of it. It's called "genetics".

I remembered seeing photos of Lee Labrada and thinking, he looks old lol, I was 16 in 1988 ,now I see videos of him and think, wow actually he was very young !!when you are 16 even a 19 year old looks old Lol, the coin has turned. Great memories!!

I did legs with bill smith many many years ago in dundalk md at a gym called the body shop. That was a real gym, nothin pretty and shiny about it

Carla Dunlap looked fantastic! Ron Love should have been the overall winner imo. He was in top shape, also by todays standards.

These amateurs in 1985 could wipe the floor with 99% of the pros today. No thick bloated waists, weird looking body parts or water retention. WTF happened to bodybuilding...what a shame.
