@bestamerica I had one of these. The "grille" between the headlights, is basically in front of the stereo. The radiator was much lower. Overheating was never a problem. Whatever couldn't be fixed from above, could be from below. Mine had the 2.0L EFI with 5 speed in it. Power everything, front/rear climate controls, cruise, all the goodies except the fridge. It was the coolest lil van, plenty of power, and great mileage.

ive been in one of these vans and their soooo cool! they have seats that can spin around! thats pretty good for a 1985

I always thought they were pretty cool, but when I realized they were RWD, I freaked out!! It really jumped a couple of spots on my wish list! ^^

Not one person has mentioned the sweet Ice Maker in the center console of the LE Or the sweet double sunroof? The 4YE engine that they put in these are amazing. They also put them in trucks everywhere else but North America. Taken care of these things FAR OUTLAST the truck "22R/22RE too!!! I had an 86 2WD LE 5-speed that had over 425,000 miles on it. It was all original and was used as a parts runner for a local dealership most of it's life.

thats right "its toyota not the other guys"! lol these r awesome vans! so many features! even some conversion vans don't get the refrigerator console or the 360 degree revolving seats!

We had a white 1986. Got stolen all the time, always ended up down the road because you had to tap something under the van to start it. Guess they thought they could push-start it or something xD How I miss that infernal van.

Too bad they stopped importing them to the US. That was dumb. One of the best vehicles Toyota ever made. Not too big, not too small, good mileage, super reliable.

' yes toyota van is a good vehicle,,, but poor design,,, 1 - both side windows are not full rolling down,,, 2 - front grille is a block and not enough cool air to the radiator / motor,,, 3 - motor is low and hard to fix / repair
