I love that with those tires. As a teenager in the mid 90’s my buddy had inherited an eagle wagon, myself and another friend had lifted 4wd trucks and the buddy with the eagle would follow us places in the woods you’d never think that wagon could go. My friend was not at all easy on that eagle, he really beat on that thing and it just kept taking it. I have a real soft spot for eagle wagons.

My dad bought a brand new 80',2dr,fire engine red.Four wheel drive all the time,no selector.Very good car except for back seat.Cant believe he traded it in for a used Olds 4dr.Even worse,a few years later he comes home with a Tempo.Atleast his last car was a 2dr Cougar.Was a gem till my mom gave it to my brother.

My grandfather bought his new. His was silver. He drove his to the mill and back for almost 20 years up in the snow belt in Northwest Indiana. When it broke down he fixed it because he was a fabricator.

I need to figure out something for a roof rack, I know the factory one is going to have issues holding my cargobox. Probably get the one from yakima.

I thought those were the ugliest vehicles back in the day, BUT Subaru came along and perfected AWD in the 90s. I heard those eagles went like crazy in the snow w good winter treads. I can smell the oil burning smell from the engine and the interior smell that makes me dizzy.

I didn't even watch the whole video but should have! 22 years old and you have such RESPECT for such a great vehicle! It is a SHAME AMC was bought by that POS Chrysler and it was basically JUST for the JEEP name, sort of like Stanley Black & Decker blew 900 million just to get the Craftsman name. At least thy are running with it. Chrysler, now Fiat is a DISGRACE! Amazingly this gorgeous AMC has a Chrysler "torque flight" transmission but back then it was MOPAR and they where great! That inline six is a GEM!
