1986 BMW E30 320i: The never-ending project

Emil Blach from Denmark, Copenhagen showed us his garage where he has modified his BMW E30 320i to his personal liking during the last couple of years. After that we took it out for a ride.

I nearly cried. I love the e30 so much. Every day I see my 320i e30 I'm happy. Its basically stock at the moment but has only 100k on the clock. I will keep this car as long as it lives

+Knospe i feel you o the "as long as it lives part". i built mine, i have the 325e and we've been together for a year. so many mods, i painted it, NeoMotorSports coils, rims, NRG steering wheel, sound system etc etc and i fall in love with it everytime i start it up and pull out of a driveway/parking lot. The rubber necking it gets is incomparable to other cars... it gets a certain kind of look. i'm almost 19 and people are astonished and even if they arent car enthusiasts they still take sometime to appreciate the engineering and craftsmanship of the e30. doing a swap this winter to the 540i e39 V8 motor, with a turbo.

right on ! that's the spirit! same here I have the m20b27 in it with mtech1 as well , well up to date maintenance and from engine down to tranny and so as handling.. such a great and lovely thing to drive at its finest! , never will give her up !

BMW E30's are brilliant driver's cars! Very nice 320i you have, Emil - body, trim and rims look fantastic and it sounds amazing! I had a 320i years ago, have had a 318i for 14 years and 3 weeks ago I bought a 1986, 2 door dark metallic grey 320i stroked to a 328i, in perfect condition! I was so lucky to find it after a year of searching! Also doesn't have air conditioning though... : ) As you say, people stare and give thumbs up signs wherever you go. Nope you didnt understand. It doesnt have to be forgiven or anoying eather because it doesnt need to be an M3 to have the M badge, there are also M-sport versions and have allways been in bmw market, so it doesnt all come to the engine to be an M car and it is not frustrating or forgiven if you know a little bit about BMW models.

Zanna if you actually knew about bmw you would notice that it is fully equipped with mtech 1. So yes it has "m" parts

at the moment im just running coilovers and 15'' bbs rs 001 wheels. but i have plans for doing HR suspension and 16'' bbs rs wheels :)
