That Oreo ad is one of my absolute favorites! The jingle was written and performed by the legendary Joey Levine, one of the greatest Bubblegum music and commercial jingle artists of all time!

That Snuggles free ornament was cool. Remember most cereals in the 80's having a free prize inside? Now days, it's just the cereal, no prize, what's up with that? :(

i had that countdown to christmas poster lol, and i remember so many of these commercials. it is a shame that so much of this will be gone as generations pass.

My parents taped Rudolph the same year, the Christmas before I was born...I don't think it was this airing, but a lot of the commercials are the same; and I watched the tape so much that I still remember all these commercials. :)

I was so surprised when the KRCG banner came up! My hometown station. My dad worked there for a while in the early 90's.

We've got that night recorded, too, but my mom tried to cut out the commercials. I can still remember her scrambling to hit pause and record - and I was only two years old! It's nice to see the commercials again. ^_^

I remember the Hardee's Pound Puppies. My aunt sent me and my sister some for Christmas, because I think Hardee's was pretty defunct in the DC area at the time (my aunt lives in Alabama). We each got two Pound Purries and one Pound Puppy. Incidentally, I *do* have the Snuggle Bear ornament, but I didn't get it back in 1986, I bought it off Ebay about three years ago. Does that count?
