This is about an hour long compilation of mostly news clips of the games from the 1986 Stanley cup playoffs. I put the NY Islanders Capitals series on a separate file

The 1986 Rangers..... when you look at their offensive scoring numbers that year, it's surreal to think they made the playoff run they did.

Interesting that those atrocious Leafs of the 80's only were a blown 3-0 lead in game 5 from making the CF.
@timburr4453 Жыл бұрын
A lot of bad (and I mean piss poor) teams made the playoffs back then and with those short series you had a lot of upsets. The Leafs were always tougher in the playoffs

Greg Millen was awful. He wouldn't make 3rd string on minor league team today
@OldRustySteele6 ай бұрын
Normally, I defend goalies pre-2000 since their equipment wasn’t well designed like it is now. However, in Millen’s case, there is no defense. He really wasn’t very good. He would have some games where he was unbeatable, but many more where he stunk.

Back when the NHL was real... nowadays the NHL cant survive as corporation without making sure the cup is awarded to a US team.

Nobody stopped the Canucks from choking in game 7 in 2011 or wasting their golden generation on lackluster first round exits, they've only got themselves to blame. Nobody has stopped the Oilers front office from making atrocious trades and signings the last decade, and still sucking despite getting handed McDavid on a silver plate, they've only got themselves to blame. Nobody stopped Toronto from sucking for a decade due to similar reasons, they've only got themselves to blame. Nobody has stopped Montreal from being a mostly mediocre franchise for more than 2 decades since trading Roy, they've only got themselves to blame. Nobody stopped the Senators from either choking in early rounds every year in the early 00's, getting totally demolished by the Ducks in 2007 or having a front office who decided to push the self-destruct buttom, they've only got themselves to blame. And, just for the heck of it, if you're one of those retards who is stupid enough to fall for optical illusions and believe that the Flames actually scored in period 3 of game 6 of the 2004 SC final, nobody stopped the Flames coaching staff from having that sequence video called. They've only got themselves to blame.

How the hell do you not include the Monday night miracle? You in fact skipped the moment the blues came back. Epic Fail.
