What a team Queensland had!! Border, Botham, McDermott, Healey among others. Western Australia weren't bad either!! Back when overseas players would play Shield cricket. That doesn't happen anymore. Australia don't want players from England, India etc. to get used to the conditions down under!! It's probably why Australia do a lot better in the Ashes in England than we do in the Ashes in Australia!! As we still have the Australian test players playing County cricket!! I think we should stop that!! 😂😂😂

@@andyclohessy5840 after he retired from first class cricket in 2005. He was living above a pet shop in Sutton in South London. He did a Q&A at my club. Think he was having a tough time, hopefully he’s ok now.

I have the fond memories of listening to radio Australia commentary of these matches from India. I was then a school student and a regular listener of radio Australia.. Miss those golden days...
